Personal Bio:

I grew up in Greenville, SC and attended Lander University in Greenwood, SC where I double majored in Physical Education and Exercise Studies. I have an emphasis in Athletic Training and a minor in Coaching Education. I played soccer growing up and into college. After I finished my playing career, I became president of the Lander University Ultimate Frisbee Club. I made the decision to move to Charleston to student teach and have lived here ever since. In my spare time I enjoy paddlebaording and disc golf.

Teaching Bio:
I have taught since the fall of 2002. Although I student taught at Hanahan High School, all of my professional teaching has been at the middle school level. I began at Alice Birney Middle (now Northwoods Middle) before moving to Cario. I really enjoy teaching middle school physical education and our student at Cario!

Coaching Bio:
I am the GKer trainer for the Cainhoy Athletic Soccer Club. During the summer, I travel all around coaching soccer camps. I work at Duke, Virginia Tech, Tennessee and am a senior director for SoccerPlus among others. I have the NSCAA Premier Diploma-- the top coaching license in the U.S.

While student teaching, I was an assistant at Hanahan before coaching at Stall for one year. After that I joined the staff at Academic Magnet where I have been since the spring of 2004. My record at AMHS is 184-48-5. We won the state championship in 2012 and 2014. I have been named the SC Small School Coach of the Year in 2012, 2013 and 2014; the HSSR COY in 2012 and 2014 and the NSCAA South Regional COY in 2012.

I feel that by teaching middle school physical education and coaching high school soccer, I have the dream job!
